ColorPop Kids is a small headshot studio in Pico-Robertson, Los Angeles, and we do one thing: headshots for kids, teens and young adults, ages 3 to 20. No adults, no newborns. Bright seamless color backdrops, clean studio light, and a kid who looks like themselves.
The color is not a gimmick. A bold backdrop wakes kids up and gets them playing, and a kid who is playing gives you the real expression instead of the say-cheese face. That is the expression casting directors respond to, and the one you want on the wall.
What a session looks like
Sessions are short on purpose. One or two looks takes 40 minutes to an hour, three looks about an hour and a half with a break in the middle. Come camera-ready, hair done, one parent and the kid (siblings only if they are being photographed too; it is a small room and extra people distract), and your kid is in front of the camera within ten minutes. I shoot a lot and fast and talk to the child the whole time. You sit off to the side with an iPad and watch the photos come in as they are taken; you can even mark the ones you like on the spot. A wardrobe guide comes with your booking confirmation. Bring twice as many outfits as looks you booked and we choose together in the studio: the top for your kid's skin tone, the backdrop to contrast the top. Your private online gallery is ready the next day, with my picks flagged, and you choose which images get finished. Finished files come high-resolution for print and web-sized for Actors Access, Casting Networks and agency profiles.
Commercial and theatrical in one visit

Who we shoot
Child actors and teen actors who need headshots for Actors Access, Casting Networks, Backstage and agency submissions. Kid models and dancers who need a clean digital for an agency board. Young adults, 18 to 20, who are just starting out and want a headshot that reads as a real person, not a school picture. And families who simply want a bright, honest headshot of their kid for the wall.
If your child has not signed with an agency yet, a session here is still a good first step. A professional kids headshot is what most Los Angeles agencies ask for once they say yes, and a strong one helps you get that yes.
Why a kids headshot specialist
A kids headshot is a different job from an adult headshot. Kids do not hold a pose, and they should not have to. The studio is set up so nothing depends on a child sitting still: continuous light with no flashes, a short session with breaks whenever they are needed, a backdrop chosen to work with your kid's coloring, and a photographer who was a child model himself and has spent twenty years around children. Parents stay in the room, there is no makeup and no heavy styling, and the file that goes to casting looks exactly like the kid who walks into the audition.

Behind the camera
I'm Noam Nizzani. I have been a photographer and a designer for most of my working life: editorial and portrait photography on one side, art direction for print on the other, and for several years running video and photo production at a Los Angeles toy company, with kids of every age on set. I also teach photography and video to high school students. ColorPop Kids opened in 2024 as the place where all of that points at one thing: headshots for kids, on color. The session. On camera within ten minutes of arriving, 40 minutes to an hour and a half depending on the package, with a break every 15 minutes or so for a look change.
Your gallery. Private, online, ready the next day, with my picks flagged. You make your selects right in it.
Finished files. Retouched finals within five business days of your selects, usually sooner, or within 48 hours with the rush option. Each one comes high-resolution for print and web-sized for Actors Access, Casting Networks and agency profiles.
Four questions parents ask first
Does a four year old need professional headshots?
Not for a first agency inquiry; a clear phone photo usually does. Once an agency signs your child, they will want professional shots within weeks.
How often do we update?
Every six to twelve months, or sooner after a haircut, lost teeth, or a growth spurt. Casting expects the kid who walks in to match the file.
What should my kid wear?
Solid colors, bright, and chosen to work with your kid's skin tone. ColorPop is built on color contrast, so the outfit and the backdrop are picked together. No logos, no characters, no busy patterns, and clothes they can move in. The wardrobe guide covers it, with four real pairings explained.
Do they need makeup or hair styling?
No makeup, at any age. Casting needs to see the actual face, freckles and all. Hair should be clean, brushed and how your kid normally wears it, with no heavy product. The goal is a kid who looks exactly like the one who walks into the audition.
